I asked Alex today which of his gifts were his favorite. Here is a round-up…
#1 LEGOS! Ok, no suprise here. It seems that all boys aged 6 – 106 love getting legos. His father had just as much fun helping him put them together as Alex did playing with them.
Tops on the Lego list was the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar (7958)
.
It is still worth picking up, even if it isn’t for Christmas (or maybe get it for next year!) The only Christmas themed items are a small tree and a super cool Yoda dressed in a Santa outfit. It is a great “starter” kit for the Star Wars collection, as it includes several minifigures (Chewbaca!) and space ships so your little man can start playing right away!
This Mario game is already 2 years old and is getting harder and harder to find. I had to go to 3 different Game Stop stores to find one! It is considered one of the best Mario games ever – check out the rave reviews on Amazon. It is now the most-played game in the house.
#3 HexBug Nano Elevation 3D Glow-in-the-Dark Habitat Set
This gift from Grandma was a suprise winner! The HexBugs are intriguing to watch, even for adults. The track is simple to put together in many configurations. This is a great set for creative building, no need to follow a set blueprint. My 4 year old niece got one too, and she loves it just as much.
What were the best holiday gifts in your house?
Honestly, I thought an electric nasal aspirator (or boogy-sucker, as I prefer to call it) would be a complete waste of money. There was no problem with using a “manual” one on our baby — or so I thought! My husband hated using the manual one and asked if there was any other option. I told him about these — and he was so excited for the gadget that he asked for it as a birthday gift.
After trying it once, I am convinced! It is simple to use. On the very first attempt, our baby’s nose was clear. Best of all, there was ZERO crying involved. It is easy to clean and comes with extra tips.
A gadget that makes daddy, mommy and baby happier? That is a no brainer. It is my new go-to for baby shower gifts!
Wow! This one is a great deal – it almost makes me wish I hadn’t already finished my Christmas shopping. Maybe you can still take advantage of it. What little boy (or man) doesn’t love Star Wars?
It is on sale for $24.97, originally $89.99. That is 72% off!
It is that time of year again! All these yummy Christmas cookies and Chanukah latkes are irresistable! Soon it will be time to think about taking off the holiday weight. This looks perfect to me: Zumba is so much fun, but I can’t make it to a class. Now I will be able to do it when (if) the baby naps.
It is only $49.95 on Amazon – regularly $69.99, a savings of 29%
